Traditionally, challenging word games were limited to titles like Wordle NYT, Crossword, Hangman, etc. However, the landscape has evolved. Word and puzzle games have been elevated to more hardcore levels, pushing the boundaries of players’ logical thinking and deduction skills.
Here, we have the Quardle game, which is a tough challenge for puzzle game lovers. Actually, it is not an original game like other word games; it is just a remake version of Wordle with enhanced difficulty and additional features.
The “Quardle” name is a combination of the words “Wordle” and “Quarter.” This means that the Wordle game will be divided into four parts, adequate to four hidden words that must be found.
Quardle features a layout similar to Crossword, in which the hidden words have parts related to the others. Letters contained in one word may also be included in another word.
You will have 12 guesses to figure out all the four secret words of the game. However, you can unlock more available guesses by correctly finding the hidden words. Detailedly, with each solved word, you will get a bonus in the number of allowed guesses. Therefore, there will be 15 guesses in total for you.
Above the virtual keyboard in the game, you can see four buttons representing the positions of the hidden words you want to find out. If you want to reveal the first word, press the button “1.” To switch to other words, you have to press other number buttons.
What a pity that Quardle hasn’t allowed players to make a guess from their devices’ keyboards. You can only submit a word by using the virtual in-game keyboard.
On the right of the spot for guessing words, you can notice a table listing all of your guessed words so you can keep track of your play. Moreover, the guessed words on the table are colored and outlined. What do the colors mean?
The Quardle game will have three primary colors as hints for players. Besides, there are two modified versions of green and yellow with outlines.
