Griddle

About Griddle

Griddle is a challenging word game in which players are given letters and must connect these letters to form a meaningful word. Like many Strands NYT games, it might be played directly on web browsers.

Playing with ease isn't a game because your wrong movement will affect the rest of the words. Additionally, the different words have different scores.

In the game, the 7x7 grid display corresponds to the number of letters you must enter. The characters used to form words can appear more than once.

It is noticeable that there are Double Words, Triple Words, Double Letters, and Triple Letters marking the tiles. If you drag and drop the letters onto the cells, you will receive double or triple the score of the letters filled in.

Every letter has its own points. You will get the sum of the scores once you combine letters into the right word. Let's start!

How to Play

  • Blue tiles: Their scores are higher in comparison with normal tiles of that type.
  • Red tiles: You will multiply the points of all letters used in the same word.
  • Yellow tiles: They bonus the points for each tile using the same word.
  • Red + Blue + Yellow: With squares in the board, they will modify the points of letters or words crossing those squares.
  • +2X: It will add a multiplier, applied once at the end. For instance, a +2X with a +3X in the same word will bring the 5X score.
  • X2: It will multiply the total score of a word by 2. If your entering word has X2 and X3 point values, the total multiplier will be X6.
  • Griddle game is entirely free to access and play. The players aim to determine the secret word's title—thinking and engaging. You'd better not miss any fantastic opportunity.
