Beerdle is the same word-guessing game as other Nyt Strands puzzle versions? Well, it is much more challenging, especially when you choose the HARD mode.
In this mode, you must guess the 5-letter word and the following guess cannot repeat the not-including letters in the hidden keyword. Even changing the true letters isn't acceptable.
If you aren't familiar with this, you can start with the EASY and NORMAL modes. They are similar to many classic 5-letter guessing games.
Furthermore, the Beerdle game doesn't limit the number of playings. You can replay it as soon as you finish your 6th guess.
The EASY or NORMAL mode is ideal for newbies to start. First, you'll optionally fill a 5-letter meaning word to get the feedback. It's best to enter a multi-vowel word, for example, SWEAR, TOWEL, ERROR, etc.
The color of the letters will change. You need to hold the green letters' position, reorder the yellow letters, and eliminate the gray letters in your next guesses.
You continue guessing until you find the keyword. If you get the correct answer in six tries, you will win and can restart playing Beerdle again if desired. It doesn't limit how many times you might play.
After you're familiar with puzzle game-playing, you want something more challenging? Let's try experiencing HARD mode.
When starting, your first guess should be the less vowel word to eliminate the non-related letters. With the green and yellow letters that Beerdle sends feedback, it forces you to reuse them in your following guesses.
You must keep the fixed location of the green and change the yellow. Though you fill the meaning word, the game won't accept it once it doesn't contain these letters.
If your filling result is more than one the green letters, you will easily find the answer.
Since the second guess, your letter filling will be more difficult. You must pay attention to:
Before ending the sixth attempt, you can find the right keyword and you'll achieve the final win. The screen also shows "Play Again" if you still want to continue play-game.
there are many other games developed under Strands NYT, let's try them out
