Fibble

What Is Fibble?

Like other puzzle games having the “dle” ending, Fibble is also a variant of the multi-million-player NYT Strands game. But as the name suggests, this version will bring complicated tricks when you are playing.

Wordle is a word-guessing game that has paved the way for many game developers to create their own puzzle-guessing games with simple but exciting gameplay. Although the Fibble game inherits the guessing gameplay, it features some modifications to make the game more challenging for even professional players.

A secret five-letter English word is still the guessing target of this version. However, on the way to achieving victory, players have to deal with a set of fake clues given by the game to distract players from getting closer to the correct answer.

For this reason, Fibble is not only a game requiring your excellent word sources but also your logical thinking, strategic play, and a bit of luck.

How To Play The Fibble Game

Fibble offers players 9 guesses, 4 more than the Wordle game, to figure out the secret English word. You will arrange your word guess from the alphabetical letters and press Enter to submit it.

Besides the distracting clues, the game introduces some additional features to assist players in optimizing their decisions. One such feature is the black flag at the end of a row.

During your play, you can attach the black flag to a letter that you assume is a fake signal from the game. To use the flag, you can simply click or press the doubtful letter.

Furthermore, you can also highlight the promising letter that you believe is a precise element in the solution word. Long-pressing the letter to mark it.

Meanings Of Colors In Fibble

Like other Wordle-like versions, Fibble will give players hints via three colors. The clues in the game can be misleading, but they still have the same meanings as those of Wordle:

  • The gray color is for letters not contained in the solution word.
  • The yellow color appears when the letter is included in the hidden word but is wrongly positioned in the guessed word.
  • The green color represents a perfect guess. You win the game when having a green word.
