Airportle

About Airportle

Airportle is engaging and new when players must fill in an airport code exactly to achieve the final win. The display looks like a word-guessing game, but Scott's Cheap Flights really knows how to make the difference, which is to guess the airport code from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

The mystery code consists of 3 letters, and the game gives you 6 tries. Although the number of characters is fewer than in the Wordle NYT games, the difficulty doesn't decrease.

You'll have to guess the right code for thousands of different ones from airports around the world. Therefore, the accurate first guess is impossible in case there is no hint.

How to Play

  1. If you are on our Airportle game page, you can start playing right away.
  2. The screen displays three squares in a row, corresponding to the letter numbers that you need to guess. Use the virtual keyboard to enter the characters and press "Enter."
  3. The Airportle game immediately gives feedback through the color change of letters, including gray, green, and orange. These correspond to the unrelated letter, the right letter, and the involved letter but in the wrong position.
  4. You'll rely on these suggestions to type the next answer. This process is repeated until your guess is correct after 6 attempts.
  5. Once your answer is right—all letters turn green, you're a winner. In contrast, you can replay again to achieve the win or beat your previous result.

Tips for Winning Airportle

  • Learn about the IATA airport codes before starting to play Airportle. Because you only have 6 fills, you cannot randomly guess.
  • Pay attention to the concept of color-changing tiles after each guess. These are important strategy hints that will decide your win.
  • Hold the green letter in the spot, change the position of the orange ones, and eliminate the gray characters in your following guesses.
  • It is a good idea to both fill out and search for the related codes. Using the elimination method can shorten your search results.
  • Airportle allows you to play on a web browser and smartphone rather than downloading it. You can enter your answer by clicking on the letters on the virtual keyboard. Access and play it when you're free!
